Who we are
This application is operated by the lifeguard training organisation to track rescue-boat training progress of its trainees and instructors. For privacy questions or requests, contact your training coordinator or the application administrator.
What data we process
- Account data: username, full name, role, and station (island).
- Training records: date, exercise type, duration, weather conditions, and any comments you add.
- Instructor notes about a trainee's progress.
- Exam sign-ups: which scheduled exams you have registered for.
- Security log: sign-ins (successful and failed), password changes and account-management actions, together with the IP address they came from. Kept for 180 days and visible to admins only.
No contact details, location tracking, or special-category data are collected, and no data is shared with third parties or used for marketing or profiling.
Why we process it
The data is processed to record mandatory training hours and determine exam readiness, on the basis of the training agreement between you and the organisation (and the organisation's legitimate interest in administering its training programme).
Who can see it
- You can see your own account and training records.
- Instructors and admins can see trainees' records and notes to assess progress.
- Only admins can manage accounts.
Retention
Records are kept for the duration of your training and certification. When an account is deleted, all associated training records and instructor notes are permanently removed with it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data. You can download your own training records as CSV from the "My hours" page at any time; for anything else, contact the administrator. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Cookies
The app sets two strictly functional cookies: a login session cookie and a security (CSRF) cookie. No analytics or tracking cookies are used, so no cookie consent banner is required.
